Former nursing home worker indicted on rape charges

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The New York Attorney General’s Office announced Thursday the indictment of a former nursing home worker on Rape charges.

We previously reported on the arrest of 51-year-old Khadka Pradhan of Rochester. He was working as a housekeeper at Shore Winds Nursing Home in September when he allegedly sexually abused an 81-year-old resident who was suffering from dementia. He was arraigned, plead not guilty and released on bail.

A Monroe County Grand Jury since handed up an indictment upping the charges to First Degree Rape, Second Degree Rape, and several other charges including First Degree Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person.

His arraignment on those charges has not been set.
