CLARENCE, N.Y. (WHEC) — Chris Collins, the former U.S. Rep who served New York’s 27th Congressional District from 2013 to 2019, has sold his last residential property on this side of the state.

Documents filed on Feb. 3 in the Erie County Clerk’s office point to Collins selling a vacant parcel at 9666 Cobblestone Dr in Clarence to 9666 Cobblestone Drive LLC for $180,000. That LLC is an affiliate of Essex Homes of Western New York.

Phil Nanula, the Essex Homes president, said the company is building a private residence on that land.

The 27th Congressional District serves practically everything in between Buffalo and Rochester, besides the two WNY cities. It includes all of Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming counties, and parts of Erie, Monroe, Niagara, and Ontario counties.

Collins resigned from the position in 2019 after pleading guilty to federal insider trading charges. He was originally sentenced to 26 months in prison, but was pardoned by then-President Donald Trump in December 2020, only serving a total of 10 weeks.

Collins and his wife now live in Marco Island, Fla.
