Forrester claims 81st Monroe Invitational

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Georgia Tech’s Bartley Forrester slam-dunked a shot on the 17th hole from 72 yards out to propel him to victory.

Forrester started out with a six-stroke lead, but saw that dwindle down to one stroke as Ohio State’s Jackson Chandler closed the gap. But the tremendous hole-out for eagle gave Forrester all he needed to take the championship.

Penfield’s Yaroslav Merkulov finished in fourth place at -3 for his tournament.
