Four City R-Centers extend hours on Wednesday to support families due to delayed RCSD opening

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Four City R-Centers will be extending their hours on Wednesday to help families due to the delay in opening RCSD schools.

The following locations will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:

  • Adams St. R-Center, 85 Adams St., 14608
  • Edgerton R-Center, 41 Backus St., 14608
  • Thomas P. Ryan R-Center, 530 Webster Ave., 14609
  • Trenton & Pamela Jackson R-Center (Clinton-Baden), 485 N. Clinton Ave., 14605

On Sunday, the RCSD school board voted unanimously to approve resolution 122 which moved the first day of school to Thursday due to the transportation crisis the district is currently facing.

All City R-Centers will return to after-school hours on Thursday when all RCSD schools will be open.
