Frear’s Garden Center to close after 93 years

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Another local business in our area has announced it’s closing after 93 years.
The owners of Frear’s Garden Center and Christmas Fantasyland on Stone Road in Greece announced they plan to retire and close their business.
Warren and Lynda Frear cited the culmination of increasing costs, supply chain issues, and damage from the March 6 windstorm as the reason for the closure.
They will officially close on July 31.
Other recent closures include the 94-year-old Dutch Mill on Dewey Avenue last month and the Dolce Italy Italian pastry shop last month and Bay Goodman Pizza in the North Winton Village in March.
