Gas prices fall slightly, but Christmas Day sets all-time high in U.S.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gas prices per gallon in Rochester fell 2.1 cents per gallon last week according to GasBuddy.

The average price of Rochester gas stations is $3.48/g today, nearly four cents lower than this point in November.

However, the $3.264/g national average set a Christmas Day record for highest average, beating out 2013 by two tenths of a cent. This is despite a decline of prices in nearly every state throughout last week.

The monthly price of gas has also dropped nearly four cents per gallon in Rochester. However, compared to last year at this time, it’s still a staggering $1.20/g higher.
