ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — An expansion at the Genesee Brewery now includes some big new gear.
Two 2,000-barrel tanks arrived at the brewery Tuesday.
They will be to hold the malt base that’s used to make Seagram’s Escapes.
The brand saw record growth last year, and at times, the brewery struggled to keep up with demand.
"We continue to add good-paying jobs to the Genesee Brewery," said Vice President of Brand and Corporate Communications Mary Beth Popp. "Over the last year, we added about 80 jobs so it’s all good for Rochester."
These new tanks will let Genesee make more at a time.
Each tank holds an equivalent of 28,000 cases of the Seagram’s.
