Susan’s right. When you go to the App Store, there isn’t a separate app for Excelsior Pass Plus.

You just need to go through the NYS Excelsior Pass Wallet App the same way you got the first pass.

To get Excelsior Pass Plus, click "Get My Pass" then scroll down to the plus section.

Go through the checklist and fill out your info, verify your identity, then you’ll get a confirmation text or email followed by your pass.

What’s the main difference between the two?

Plus is really meant to get you somewhere outside of New York.

State officials hope it will make traveling easier. It’s recognized by other businesses, states and countries.

Just like the first version, Excelsior Pass Plus is a digital copy of your vaccination record.

It includes doses and dates. The Excelsior Pass does not.

You don’t need a smartphone to get one. You can print it off online.
