Good Question: Why is Wegmans changing local stores?

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)—Where did everything go?
That’s what Wegmans shoppers are asking News10NBC’s Brennan Somers. They reached out about some shake-ups at local stores.
"Pardon our dust!"
That’s one of the signs posted up at Wegmans around town. Another sign states "Looking for..?" followed by a breakdown of common items that aren’t in their usual spots.
Customers are taking notice and complaining on social media. Somers reached out to Wegmans to see where this is happening,
Here’s what he got.
"Currently, we have three stores in Rochester going through a larger reset – Eastway, Irondequoit, and Geneseo. This reset includes expanding various perishable departments, remodeling as necessary, and integrating nature’s marketplace items into their respective department to eliminate multiple product locations."
Now it’s not just throwing in-store shoppers through a loop.
If you’re someone who orders pick-up or delivery through Instacart, Somers has heard of those shoppers telling customers waiting for orders that it might take a little while longer to find everything you’re asking for.
