ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Let’s answer a good question about a huge event in Rochester.
There’s just a little more than a week to go until this year’s half-marathon and 5k. There’s also a bit of an issue.
Check out this post from Fleet Feet Rochester:

If you saw that and you’ve been training for months, you may have asked could the race be in jeopardy?
What if they don’t round up more volunteers?
News10NBC’s Brennan Somers reached out to race organizer Ellen Brenner-Boutillier.
She says there are no serious worries — "the race will happen."
Sadly, this issue is common. They had a main group of helpers back out last minute. That’s why they put out the all-call for volunteers.
What do they need the most?
Road marshalls! That’s a critical position because with an event of this size shutting down part of the city that’s what police require.
As of Thursday, they still need a couple dozen volunteers to step up.
