Governor: Finger Lakes Region’s COVID positive test rate at 4.5% on Friday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Here is Governor Hochul’s Saturday update on New York State’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The positive test rate is 3.2 % of the 157,302 test results reported.
The 7-day average positive test rate is 3.28%.
28 more people in New York State healthcare facilities died from the coronavirus.
67,962 vaccines were administered, bringing the total vaccine doses in the state to 23,921,319.
The Finger Lakes region data represents Monroe County and nine other area counties. The COVID-19 positive test rate for the past three days was as follows: Wednesday, 4.47%; Thursday, 4.37%; Friday, 4.50%.
The other counties in the region include Ontario, Livingston, Wayne, Yates, Seneca, Steuben, Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming.
