Governor Hochul announces gun violence prevention funding

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WHEC) – Governor Hochul held a press conference on Thursday in Brooklyn to announce new funding aimed to curb gun violence in the state.
Millions of dollars will be invested in law enforcement to retrain officers and improve crime analysis centers. In addition, the state will fund more community programs aimed at reducing violence in neighborhoods and helping victims of gun violence.
