Great weekend weather to dig out of the snow

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Our Yellow Alert is expiring, as road conditions improve, despite a little more lake effect overnight.
This additional snow will mainly be impacting northern Monroe County and Wayne County into Saturday morning. We could see an inch or two of lake fluff there tonight, and into Saturday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is up for Wayne County for this additional lake snow. Overall road conditions will be improving tonight, but some slicks spots and snow covered roads will still be likely where the lake effect persists. Overall, our weather is quieting down nicely following our nearly 48 hour snow storm.
A fine weekend: we will finally say so long to our snow, with lake effect ending Saturday morning, and sunshine returning. Saturday will be a chilly day, with highs in the teens, despite that sun. Sunday morning starts off quite cold, with some spots possibly dipping below zero once again. Despite that cold start, we should "warm" nicely, back toward 30 by the afternoon thanks to a southerly wind. We’ll also see some sun on Sunday. So, this weekend will be great to get out in the snow, whether it is to clean up and dig out, or play in it!
Our quiet weather continues into next week, with nothing more than a few flurries or snow showers through mid-week, and slightly above average temperatures. Our next chance of any sort of accumulating snow will come late next week with the potential for a fast moving clipper that may deliver a few inches of snow, followed by another blast of chillier air next weekend.
