Head for the Cure 5k to affect downtown traffic on Sunday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Head for the Cure 5k race will affect downtown traffic on Sunday.

The race will take place on Sunday, June 12, causing temporary street closings. The races begin at 8 a.m. at Frontier Field.

The following streets will close at 7:45 a.m. and will re-open as the last participants move along the course:

• N. Plymouth Avenue from Morrie Silver Way to W. Main Street
• W. Main St. from N. Plymouth Avenue to N. Fitzhugh Street
• Allen Street form N. Plymouth Avenue to State Street
• State Street from Allen Street to Smith Street
• S. Vincent Street from State Street to Smith Street
• Smith Street from State Street to St. Paul Boulevard
• St. Paul Boulevard from Bausch Street to Cataract Street
• Platt Street from Mill Street to Browns Race
• Mill Street from Platt Street to Commercial Street
• Commercial Street from State Street to Mill Street
• Brown Street from State Street to N. Plymouth Avenue
• Morrie Silver Way from Oak Street to N. Plymouth Avenue
