Henrietta man arrested in string of construction site thefts
HENRIETTA, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies have made an arrest in a string of thefts and burglaries that happened at a construction site on Grandstand Circle in Henrietta.
Deputies say they saw Alexander Schwartz, 26, of Henrietta, use a U-Haul pickup truck to steal sheets of plywood from the construction site. They arrested him on Feb. 21.
He was charged with 10 counts of third degree burglary, third degree grand larceny, second degree criminal mischief, petit larceny and possession of burglar tools.
Deputies say Schwartz also had multiple outstanding felony warrants from Monroe County Court.
He was remanded to the Monroe County Jail and arraigned in Henrietta Town Court but was released on his own recognizance on Feb. 24.
