Hochul endorsed by Monroe County Democratic Party Chair

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Monroe County Democratic Party Chairman Zach King Thursday announced his support of Kathy Hochul for New York Governor in 2022.
A statement released by chairs of the Monroe, Albany, and Onondaga committees states "There is no better friend to Upstate New York than Governor Hochul."

The group also endorsed Lt. Governor Brian Benjamin, along with Thomas DiNapoli for Comptroller and Letitia James for Attorney General. James, who had been rumored to be interested in running for governor, is in Rochester Thursday addressing the opioid crisis.
Hochul already received backing from New York State Democratic Party Chair Jay Jacobs earlier this month. Jacobs also endorsed James for AG.
One of the leading Republican candidates, Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin, is also in Rochester Thursday for a campaign appearance.
