Hochul launches ‘#GetTheVaxFacts’ campaign

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gov. Kathy Hochul Wednesday announced a new state campaign she says is aimed to combat misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines.

The program, called “#GetTheVaxFacts”, includes a dedicated website and downloadable toolkits as well as a digital advertising campaign.

Hochul’s office says those resources address topics surrounding COVID-19 vaccines and pregnancy, infertility, side effects, safety and speed as well as what her office calls government conspiracy theories.

In New York, 86% of adults have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
