ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Gov. Kathy Hochul Tuesday signed a bill expanding the list of immunizations that pharmacists can provide to adults.

Licensed pharmacists will now be able to provide people 18 and older with shots for Hepatitis A and B, HPV, measles, mumps, rubella and varicella.

The flu and COVID-19 vaccines are on the list they’re currently allowed to give.

According to the governor, studies show that pharmacist-provided immunizations increase overall immunization rates.
