In-Depth: Monroe County Sheriff’s Office’s July opioid overdose numbers
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office posted a reminder Wednesday that the opioid epidemic is far from over.
The MCSO shared the overdose numbers for July. There were 70 reported overdoses. Ten of them were fatal.

Going In-Depth on the victims: The majority were men.
The sheriff’s office says the youngest overdose victim in Monroe county last month was just 13 years old. The oldest was 73.
Back in 2019, there were 110 July overdoses in Monroe County. That number dropped to 49 in July 2020.
