Irondequoit collecting donations for sister city, Poltava, Ukraine

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Town of Irondequoit is collecting donations for its sister city, Poltava, Ukraine.

Irondequoit said residents of Poltava and the rest of Ukraine need sleeping bags, socks and underwear, medical gloves, toothbrushes and sanitary products like diapers for babies and adults, wipes and menstrual products.

Donations can be dropped off with InterVol at the north entrance of 100 Kings Hwy S. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Thursday, March 10.

At this time, InverVol is not accepting anything other than the products listed above, and they must be new.
