Irondequoit Police: Rochester man arrested after vehicle stolen
IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — Irondequoit Police arrested a Rochester man after a vehicle was stolen from an Irondequoit man Wednesday night.
It happened on the 400 block of Brandon Road at around 7 p.m.
Police say the suspect met the victim on a social media app, met them in the city of Rochester and then returned to their Brandon Road home.
Shortly after, police say the suspect pulled out a knife and stole the victim’s vehicle.
The vehicle was found on Phelps Avenue in the city of Rochester, police say it was occupied at the time.
Mark Hathaway, 26, was arrested and charged with first degree robbery, third and fourth degree grand larceny, and third degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say Hathaway was arraigned in Irondequoit Town Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail.
