IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) – An Irondequoit shooting victim is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after suffering a gunshot wound to the leg on Saturday night.
Irondequoit Police Department responded to the scene around 9 p.m. after a report of a man shot at a Cambria Road home. Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg before he was hospitalized.
Investigators say that the altercation occurred after the victim let the suspect into the home. The suspect then fled the scene. IPD says it believes this was an isolated, targeted incident and not a random shooting.
