Ithaca College grad, Auburn native Locastro traded to Yankees

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A central New York native Major League Baseball player will be heading back to the Empire State.

Auburn native, and Ithaca College graduate Tim Locastro Thursday was traded from the Arizona Diamondbacks to the New York Yankees. The move was first reported by Lindsey Adler of The Athletic.

Adler reports the Yankees are sending a Double-A player to Arizona in exchange for Locastro.

The outfielder set an MLB record this season as he successfully converted 29 stolen bases to start his career.
