(WHEC) — As the delta variant creates a surge in virus cases, vaccine mandates in job listings have jumped significantly.
According to an analysis by the job site indeed, as of August 7, the share of job postings per million that require vaccinations was up 90% compared to a month earlier.
Researchers found that vaccination requirements in job postings are increasing across a wide range of sectors, including software development, marketing, education, and sales. Many of these sectors did not previously require vaccinations.
Researchers say the jump comes as large corporations like Walmart, Google, Tyson Foods, United Airlines, and McDonald’s mandated vaccines for some or all of their employees.
