Jury selection begins for two cousins accused of kidnapping

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Jury selection will begin on Monday in the trial of two cousins charged with kidnapping, burglary, and robbery.

Dimitri Cash and Joenathan Cash will be in court. They’re accused of working together to kidnap Dmitri’s children from their foster home in Greece last year.

Police said Joenathan and another accomplice broke into the foster home on Vintage Lane, snatching Dmitri’s 5-year-old son and his 3-year-old daughter.

Both Dimitri and Joenathan are also accused of plotting to kill a judge. The indictment accused the men of a months-long plot to murder a family court judge presiding over the children’s case.
