K-9 unit ‘Bobby’ finds wanted criminal with 8 warrants
SAVONA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A New York State Police K-9 unit assisted in the arrest of a wanted criminal on Saturday.
Troopers identified a man walking along Lakoma Avenue in the village of Savona as Devin Twist. Known to have several active warrants, troopers approached him.
Twist then fled on foot and a pursuit ensued, but patrols lost sight of Twist—only momentarily until a trusted canine unit entered the scene.
Hiding in thick brush, K-9 "Bobby" was able to find and apprehend the man.
Twist had one active warrant through Livingston County Sheriff’s office, two active warrants through NYSP Bath, and five active warrants through the Village of Bath Police Department.
Thank you, Bobby.
