Local hospitals turn blue to honor law enforcement

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Beginning Sunday night, the exterior lights of Rochester General Hospital and Unity Hospital will turn blue in honor of Rochester Police Officer Tony Mazurkiewicz, Officer Sino Seng, as well as all the members of Rochester area law enforcement who perform a difficult and dangerous job every day to keep us safe.

"Our hearts go out to the family of Officer Mazurkiewicz, who was tragically gunned down while performing his duties Thursday night. We also extend our deepest thanks for the selfless service of his partner Officer Seng, who was shot and wounded. Let us remember and honor always the police officers who give their all to protect and serve us," said Cristina Domingues, Public Relations Advisor Rochester Regional Health.
