VICTOR, N.Y. (WHEC) — More than 75 local women-owned businesses are the centerpiece of this weekend’s first-ever Riveter Festival.
The free event runs both days this weekend at Highpoint Business Park in Victor.
Its purpose is to highlight and support women’s empowerment.
The festival’s founder Ashley Robinson says encouraging women to support each other is especially important during the pandemic.
"As a woman-owned entrepreneur, too, owning a business, I understand what it takes, and all the effort and risk you take to go and delve into this and to actually see them here and prosper doing well, it makes me really happy and joyful to see," she said.
The festival continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Proceeds benefit The Center for Youth’s Chrysalis House, a housing and living environment for young mothers.
