Lyons man arrested for kidnapping and assault

LYONS, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Lyons man has been arrested following a domestic incident that occurred from the evening of Dec. 17 into the morning of Dec. 19.

According to the Wayne County Office of the Sheriff, Caleb True, 24, held the victim against her will while threatening and causing physical harm to the victim.

Deputies say True grabbed the victim by the throat, restricting breathing, and threw the victim’s cell phone against the wall causing damage to the phone.

True was transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment Sunday evening.

True has been charged with Kidnapping in the Second Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing/Blood Circulation and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.
