Man arrested for stealing the identity of co-worker’s spouse

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) — New York State Police have arrested a Brighton man for stealing the identity of his co-worker’s spouse.

Troopers say 50-year-old Marshall B. Anderson of Brighton used that identity to open bank accounts and deposit fraudulent checks. They say he stole more than $3,000 in November and December of last year.

Anderson is facing several charges including second degree identify theft, third degree grand larceny, second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and first degree scheme to defraud.
