Man arrested in Genesee County for possessing 35,000 untaxed cigarettes

PEMBROKE N.Y. (WHEC) — The Genesee County Sheriff’s office said a man had 35,000 untaxed cigarettes with him when he was arrested following a traffic stop in Pembroke.

Authorities charged Imran Mohammad Nasir, 48, with possessing untaxed cigarettes for the purpose of resale. Police pulled him over on Thursday for failing to signal while changing lanes and found him with the cigarettes, according to records.

Nasir is scheduled to reappear in Pembroke Town Court at a later day.
