ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Irondequoit Police have charged a man who they said displayed a handgun when officers were responding to a reported burglary.
Blair Seals, 47, was charged with burglary and criminal possession of a weapon. Police said they found Seals armed when responding to 1400 Portland Avenue in Irondequoit. After police spotted him, he began walking south on Portland Avenue toward the city.
Irondequoit and Rochester Police followed Seals as he walked, according to Irondequoit Police Cheif Alan Laird. Officers took him into custody at Northland Avenue and Ferncliffe Drive, off of Portland, in the city.
Seals was arraigned in Irondequoit Town Court and is currently in Monroe County Jail. A judge will not set bail because he had a previous felony.
