Man hospitalized after hit-and-run on Monroe Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police said a 29-year-old is in the hospital after a hit-and-run on Monroe Avenue on Friday morning. The man is expected to survive.
Rochester police responded to reports just after 1 a.m. of a man hit by a vehicle as he was walking on Monroe Avenue near Meigs Street. They found the city resident with a lower-body injury and an ambulance took him to Strong Hospital.
RPD said the driver fled the scene and they’re currently investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
