ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— A Monroe County Grand Jury has indicted a Rochester man on several charges in connection to a carjacking and robbery in Pittsford back in June.

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday said 25-year-old Andrey Ogonovskiy was indicted on two counts of second-degree robbery, one count of second-degree assault, and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny.

He’s first accused of approaching a woman in the Pittsford Plaza parking lot on June 25, where they say he stole the woman’s purse and key fob before being chased off. Deputies say he then shoved someone out of another car and then drove off.

Five days after the incident, Ogonovskiy was arrested by Webster Police in connection to a similar carjacking on June 21. He’s facing several charges in that case.

He was already in the Monroe County Jail at the time of his indictment.
