Man stabbed with unknown object

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police say a man was approached by a suspect(s) for unknown reasons and stabbed with an unknown object.

According to RPD, police responded to an address on Murray Street Tuesday at around 7:40 p.m. for a report of a man stabbed.

Officers say the stabbing victim is a 45-year-old male resident of Rochester who had been stabbed at least once in the upper body.

According to police, the victim was walking in the area of Masseth and Child streets when he was approached by the suspect(s) and stabbed.

He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

There are no suspects in custody. Police say this is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
