Man taken to hospital after shooting near Tremont Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police said that a walk-in gunshot victim at Strong Hospital was shot near Jefferson Terrace Park.
RPD officers were sent to the hospital on Tuesday around 10:15 p.m. after a 36-year-old man came in with at least one gunshot to the upper body. He is expected to survive.
An investigation, which is still ongoing, determined that the shooting happened near Tremont Street and Jefferson Avenue. Police said they found no crime scene in the area. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
