ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Masks are still required on RTS bus services, despite the announcement from RTS on Tuesday that they lifted masking requirements for all of their services and facilities.
Gov. Kathy Hochul said that masks are still required on all public transit in New York State. Starting immediately all RTS riders and employees must wear a mask.
RTS said in a release that they learned about the masking requirement during conversations with the governor’s office. The transit authority said it will continue to make masks available at its facilities, to make it easier to comply with the mandate.
