ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – What sounds better than Sunday brunch with artwork from some creative kids?

Maya’s Hope charity hosted a brunch at the Owl House from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.

Maya’s Hope has been supporting children with special needs in Ukraine for 10 years. This Maya’s Hope Ukraine Emergency Fund supports children in Ukraine, who are dealing with a humanitarian crisis.

Over 50 children submitted artwork and thoughts on world peace—and what they’d do to help Ukrainian orphans.

Deb Dries, event organizer, said "look at Rochester and just how philanthropic we are here and the amount of fundraisers we’ve had for the refugees, for women, for children, and now we’re supporting orphans, which is just a huge part of the Ukrainian population and they deserve our attention and I love the fact that Rochester is here."

Proceeds raised from cocktails, food, and artwork were all donated to the Maya’s Hope organization.

You can still donate to the Maya’s Hope Ukraine Fund here.

Maya’s Hope works to improve the quality of life of orphaned, impoverished, and special-needs children on a global scale. Whether providing funding for loving caregivers, vitamin-rich formula, or access to quality medical care, Maya’s Hope improves lives, one child at a time.
