Missing Gates man with dementia found safe

GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) — A missing Gates man who police say suffers from dementia has been found safe.
Police say 83-year-old Franklin Brooks was found in Amsterdam, NY, and is in good health.
Brooks was reported missing on Friday around 11 p.m. from Westview Commons in the town of Gates.
Police say Brooks was last seen driving a white 2009 Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
