ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Monroe County Jail will begin welcoming in-person visitations again, starting on January 31.

The Sheriff’s Office says it will allow limited social visits, and there are some other rules to follow.

Every inmate past the mandatory 14-day quarantine will be allowed to have one 30-minute, no-contact visit each week. The visitor must wear a mask and there will be social distancing. There will also be a temperature check and a short screening process for "flu-like" symptoms.

One adult is allowed per visit, but one child under the age of 18 is allowed to be with them.

Visits can take place Monday-Friday between 8:45 a.m. and noon.

You can call 585-753-4000 or click here to schedule a visit.
