Morelle declares solidarity with Ukrainians

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Congressman Joe Morelle is declaring his solidarity with Ukrainians, too.

On Saturday afternoon, he met with members of the Ukrainian community at the Ukrainian Cultural Center.

"Well, for many of them this is part of their lived experience. They grew up in Ukraine, they have family in Ukraine, they’re concerned not only about their homeland, but the people that they care deeply about," Morelle said.

The U.S. lawmaker is heading back to Washington and says he plans to bring those concerns back to D.C. with him.
