Nazareth rallies back to beat Rochester in Crosstown Shootout
PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Nazareth Men’s Basketball team (3-1) rallied from an early deficit to beat the University of Rochester (3-1), 81-73, on the first day of the Mark’s Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout. Saint John Fisher and RIT are the other participants on the men’s side. The same teams are involved on the women’s side but over at St. John Fisher College.
The Golden Flyers used a game-high 27 points from Stephen Gabel to come back in a game that only had seven lead changes and two ties. It was their largest offensive output of the season since beating Cazenovia, 80-72 last Friday.
Zach Stenglein added 21 points for the Flyers, who get set to face RIT on Saturday.
The YellowJackets hope to bounce back from their first loss of the season when they play St. John Fisher.
