New state vax initiative could win you tickets to Bills, Jets, Giants football games

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— New York’s latest incentive to get people to get their COVID shot is heading to the gridiron.
Gov. Kathy Hochul Thursday announced the launch of the #VaxandWin Football Sweepstakes, which features all three "New York" football teams, including the Buffalo Bills, and the Jets, and Giants. Former players joined Hochul to make the announcement.
Here’s how it works: If you get the shot, you can enter to win prizes from all three teams including up to four game tickets, special in-game experiences, stadium tours, signed team gear, FaceTime calls with alumni players and more.

The program will draw winners every week through Oct.24. If you got your shot starting back on Sep.9, you’re already elliglble. The effort follows similar programs, like the previous "Vax and Scratch" and the "Get a Shot to Make Your Future" campaign.
As a reminder, the Buffalo Bills will be requiring proof of vaccination in order to attend a game.
