Newark woman accused of trying to hit ex-boyfriend with car

NEWARK, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says a Newark woman tried to hit her ex-boyfriend with a car in a domestic dispute.

Deputies arrested 42-year-old Chiquita Irvin for assault (2nd) and criminal possession of a weapon (3rd). They say the two were fighting inside a car on Wednesday, when the man fell out and was dragged along the road for a short time. Irvin then allegedly turned the vehicle around and tried to hit the man.

He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with a possible fractured collar bone and road rash.
