Noyes Hospital implementing visitor restrictions starting Friday
DANSVILLE, N.Y. (WHEC) — Noyes Hospital is implementing visitor restrictions starting Friday.
The changes were announced Wednesday. Hospital officials say it’s due to rising COVID-19 cases.
The following changes will go into effect starting Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, until further notice:
- Emergency Department patients will only be allowed one visitor per patient unless the patient presents with COVID symptoms.
- Med/Surg patients will be allowed one visitor per day from 2 p.m to 6 p.m. Only two visitors total will be allowed for the duration of the patient’s stay.
- OB patients will be allowed one support person and one visitor during delivery, then one support person for the duration of the patient’s stay. One additional visitor will be allowed for up to four hours each day.
- Medical Imaging patients will be allowed one visitor.
- Physical Therapy patients will be allowed one visitor.
- Surgery patients in Dansville will be allowed one person to drop them off and a support person will be called at discharge. Waiting rooms for surgical patients are closed.
- Surgery patients in Geneseo will be allowed one visitor during the pre-op and post-op phases of care. Visitors must wait in the car while patients are in surgery.
- Urgent Care patients will be allowed one visitor unless the patient presents with COVID symptoms.
- Physician Practices patients will be allowed one accompanying person.
- Mental Health and Wellness patients will be allowed one visitor.
