NYSED Commissioner calls on DOH to release new school guidelines

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— New York’s Education Commissioner says she shares the same frustration as school districts and families as they await new guidance from the state’s Department of Health.
In a memo sent to districts Thursday, Betty A.Rosa says she has urged the governor and the DOH to update the return to school rules as soon as possible.
We told you the DOH says it’s still too soon to lay out any sort of rules.
Rosa said the CDC K-through 12 guidance. will serve as the basis for what New York does.
