One person in custody after standoff in Livingston County
NUNDA, N.Y. (WHEC) — Deputies and SWAT surrounded a home off Route 436 in the town of Nunda, in Livingston County.
Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty tweeted out that a standoff ended this morning near Kiwanis Park.
Neighbors were woken up and either evacuated or told to stay inside after officials got a call for family trouble and a person who might be armed.
Eventually, the suspect surrendered peacefully and was brought into custody. Dougherty says there is no cause for concern for Nunda residents.
