Out-of-state, Canadian snowmobile registration fees waived for next 2 weekends

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — For the next two weekends, snowmobile registration fees for out-of-state and Canadian snowmobilers are waived, as long as the sleds are legally registered in their home states or provinces.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the move in an effort to increase winter tourism in New York and promote the more than 10,000 miles of snowmobile trails in the state.

She also announced $4.2 million for trail maintenance.
