Over a thousand new positive COVID cases in Monroe County, but with delays in reporting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — In total, 1,069 new positive tests were reported by the Monroe County Health Department on Tuesday.

However, this comes with a bit of a caveat. Because of the Christmas holiday, many tests weren’t reported on time like usual.

That means it will take a few days for all of these tests to come back.

Yesterday’s count was almost evenly split between at-home tests and ones that came from labs.
