Overnight closures expected at I-390-I-490 interchange this week

GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) — Overnight closures are expected at the I-390-I-490 interchange in Gates this week.

The ramp from I-490 East to I-390 South will close to traffic at 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and will open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday night, beginning at 10 o’clock the 490 eastbound lanes will be closed just east of the interchange toward the Erie Canal and reopen Wednesday at 6 a.m.

Detours will be in place.

The New York State Department of Transportation warns the work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
